WILD8370: Bayesian Models for Conservation Science

homework.RmdAll homework assignments for this course will be completed R Markdown files. To make the distribution, completion, and grading easier, each homework will follow the same workflow.
Homework steps
Step 1: Create a new directory to store your homework files
- Create a new directory (or ideally a subdirectoy of your
WILD8370\homeworkdirectory) and call itLastNameFirstName-Homework#, replacingLastNameFirstNamewith your last and first names and#with the appropriate homework number
Step 2: Create a new R Markdown file
2a) Click on File -> New File -> R Markdown...
2b) In the Title: window type
Lab # assignment, substituting the correct lab number.
2c) In the Author window, type your name
2d) Click Ok
2e) Save the R Markdown file as
LastnameFirstname-homework# in the directory you created in
step 1, replacing LastNameFirstName with your last and
first names and # with the appropriate homework number
Step 3: Complete the assignment
- Complete the assignment, following the instructions in the lab document as you go
Step 4: Submit your assignment
4a) Before submitting your assignment, always click the “Knit” button to be sure your .Rmd file can be rendered as a HTML page. If you have any problems rendering the file, please contact your TA prior to the submission deadline.
4b) Once you know your file can be rendered, upload
both the LastnameFirstname-homework#.Rmd
and the LastnameFirstname-homework#.html files to
eLC under the correct assignment folder
Assignments that fail to follow this instructions will not be graded
Notes:
Homework is graded on a complete/incomplete basis based on effort. If you find the homework too difficult or you encounter an error you cannot solve, write down what the problem is, what you’ve tried, and why those solutions didn’t work. Homework that is not fully answered but has a detailed explanation of the steps you tried to solve the issue will be given full credit and will help us understand where we need to focus for future lectures.
